“Capacity building for curricula modernization of Syrian and Lebanese HEIs and lifelong learning provision: towards sustainable NGOs management and operation with special focus on refugees/Morale.”
Hosted by University of Bologna
Within the framework of the 1st work package of the project MORALE Erasmus+ Project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union was held from Thursday 23rd to Friday 24th of January 2020 at the by the University of Bologna (Bologna, Italy) with the presence of 23 participants coming from the Lebanese and Italian MORALE partners. Colleagues from Alicante University and Oldenburg University joined the last meeting through skype conference meeting to discuss next visits.
The objective of the study visit is to have an in-depth understanding on:
1) The study programme offer of EU HEIs related with sustainable NGO management and operation at bachelor/master level, but also in terms of LLL courses targeted to both graduates and professionals; and
2) How EU NGOs dealing with refugees and related issues are managed and operate. PCs will bring back to their home institutions practical knowledge that they will exploit in WP4 and 5, when improving the HEIs study programme offer (at bachelor level and in the field of Social and Behavioural Sciences) and creating LLL courses targeting NGOs current professionals. Visits will be also crucial for PC NGOs that will bring back home new methodologies and practices for the adaptation in line with PC contexts and needs towards an improved operation.
The two days visit included presentations about available relevant programs (Bachelor, Master and Lifelong learning) in Italy. In addition, UNHCR and Italian NGOs shared their experiences with the representatives of the Syrian and Lebanese partner universities.
Participants then discussed the progress made on the interviews/questionnaires preparation and agreed on the timetable of future project activities
